November 14th, 2022

The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria, MULAN, Osun State chapter, has inaugurated new executive members that will direct the affairs of the association for the next two years.

In a released jointly signed statement by the trio of Messers Qasim Odedeji, Idrees Abiodun Mikaheel and Dawood Ajetunmobi, who are the association’s Chairman, Secretary and Publicity Secretary respectively, made available to newsmen, the newly inaugurated exco was sworn in by Magistrate Badmus Taofeeq of the Osun State Judiciary.

Magistrate Badmus, while administering the oath of office on the new executive members, enjoined them to see their new positions as trust and should let the fear of Allah be their guiding principles in their actions and inactions while discharging their responsibilities.

He also admonished the new officers of the association to hit the ground running and come up with activities that will not only be beneficial to their members but also the society at large.

The chairman of the selection committee, Alhaji G. A Lawal, disclosed that the committee was painstaking in selecting the crop of personalities that are selected for the various offices.

He advised the new exco to be up and doing in their responsibilities so as to justify the trust the committee has in their selection.

In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Barrister Odedeji, promised to direct the affairs of the association with fear of God.

He however sought the support of all the members of the association in order for the exco to paddle the canoe of the association to the shore of success.

“I want to say as Abubakr said when he was chosen as the Khalifah of the Prophet. I’m made a leader upon you but I am not the best of you. Whenever I am right, assist me and when I am wrong, strengthen me. And you can do that with your beautiful advice.
